Common symptoms
- The pack was immersed, splashed internally, left in rain, or exposed to salt water, bleach, chlorine, or another conductive/corrosive liquid.
- The cylinder pack stops before the normal seated position or requires abnormal force in a compatible Bosch 12V Max tool or approved charger.
- Tool output cuts in or out when the securely latched battery moves
- The pack becomes rapidly or painfully hot during charging, storage, or ordinary tool use, but no active venting, flame, leakage, or visible swelling is present.
- An externally sound, fully inserted BAT414 pack produces no usable output in a compatible Bosch 12V Max tool.
- A compatible tool starts normally, then loses all battery output suddenly during an ordinary task while the trigger remains commanded.
- The tool continues to run but power is continuously low, uneven, or surging instead of stopping completely.
- The battery provides normal initial power but reaches depletion much sooner than a comparable healthy 2.0 Ah Bosch 12V Max pack in the same ordinary task.
