Likely Root Causes
- Battery release button is not fully depressed
- Pack is cocked or bound on the charger rails
- Heat or contamination increased rail friction
- Pack housing or latch is deformed
- Charger rail or retention interface is damaged
Quick Checks
- The sound pack releases smoothly with its button and both complete items remain undamaged, or the trapped assembly is safely routed to service.
Repair Preview
- After release, inspect both rail paths and retention features for dry debris, distortion, cracks, or heat damage; use FM-17 or FM-18 if damaged.
- If the pack cannot be removed without prying or force, keep the assembly out of service and take the complete charger and pack to authorized service.
- Unplug the charger and support it on a stable work surface before operating the battery release.
- Let a warm pack cool naturally, press the pack release button fully, and slide the pack straight along the rails without twisting.
