The Bevel Setting Or 90 Degree Cut Accuracy Is Wrong

The bevel lever will not lock, the quadrant setting moves, or a cut is not square when the pointer is at zero.

• Bevel lever is not fully tightened
• Sawdust blocks the quadrant or shoe pivot
• Pointer or calibration stop is out of adjustment
• Shoe, quadrant, or pivot is bent from impact
• Blade or spindle runout is creating a false angle

1. The lever holds, the zero setting is square, and a scrap cut verifies the angle.

1. Remove the battery, set the bevel to zero, and place the saw on its blade side.
2. Brush the quadrant and pivot, then confirm the lever clamps firmly through the range.
3. Check blade-to-shoe squareness with a square and verify the kerf indicator on scrap.
4. If adjustment will not hold or structure is bent, stop and use qualified service.
