FM-01: THE DRILL/DRIVER WILL NOT START WITH A VERIFIED BATTERY

The drill/driver does not start even when a verified, fully charged V20 battery is installed and the direction button is fully forward or reverse. No motor sound, LED activity, or chuck motion occurs, and the tool remains unresponsive.

• Battery is discharged, temperature-protected, or internally failed
• Battery contacts are dirty or the pack is not fully seated on the rails
• Forward/reverse button is centered or not fully in a drive detent
• Trigger, contact block, wiring, brushes, motor, or switch has failed

1. Push the direction button fully forward or reverse and make one controlled no-load trigger test with the chuck empty.
2. Cross-test the battery in a known-good V20 tool or approved charger, and replace only a pack that fails reciprocal testing.
3. If a proven battery still gives persistent zero response, remove it and route the sealed trigger, contact block, brush, motor, or wiring path to qualified service.
4. Center the direction button, remove the battery, and inspect the tool and pack for liquid, swelling, cracks, melting, or burning.
5. Dry-clean the accessible battery and tool contacts, then slide in a room-temperature fully charged V20 battery until the latch clicks.
