FM-19: THE MODE/TORQUE COLLAR WILL NOT TURN OR ALIGN

• Debris or impact damage blocks the collar
• Collar shell or detent ring is cracked or displaced
• Internal clutch spring or adjustment mechanism is jammed
• Housing or gearbox alignment is damaged

1. The collar moves and holds each selected position, or the adjustment mechanism is routed to service.

1. Turn the collar gently through the numbered settings and drill mode, confirming distinct stable detents without forcing it.
2. If it remains stuck, skips positions, or cannot hold alignment, route the collar and internal clutch mechanism to service.
3. Remove the battery before turning or inspecting the mode/torque collar.
4. Dry-clean the collar seam and inspect the collar, index mark, and front housing for cracks or looseness.
