FM-09: The Blade Slips, Wobbles, Or Runs Incorrectly

The blade shifts, runs off-center, rubs the guard, or its teeth oppose the guard arrow.

• Blade is mounted in the wrong rotation direction
• Blade size or 5/8 inch arbor hole is incorrect
• Outer washer is reversed or the screw is loose
• Blade is bent, cracked, dirty, or below the required speed rating
• Spindle, clamp washer, bearing, or shoe is damaged

1. The blade is secure, turns true, and clears the guard at all settings.

1. Release the trigger immediately, let the blade stop, and remove the battery.
2. - Match teeth to the guard arrow - orient both washers correctly.
3. Clean the clamp faces, fit a straight correct blade, and tighten the screw clockwise with the wrench.
4. - Hand-turn and no-load test - if wobble, slip, or contact remains, stop and seek service.
