FM-06: The Battery Is Swollen, Leaking, Cracked, Wet, Scorched, Or Abnormally Hot

The battery shows physical damage, liquid, swelling, scorched terminals, hissing, smoke, odor, or unusual heat during charging, storage, or saw use.

• Cell damage, internal short, impact, puncture, liquid entry, or overheating
• Incompatible charging or a damaged charger
• External terminals were shorted by metal debris
• Battery was exposed to fire, excessive temperature, or abusive load

1. The damaged pack is permanently removed from use and the saw and charger are verified free of transferred damage before a sound pack is installed.

1. Stop using and charging the pack, move people away, and isolate it from combustible material only if movement can be done without touching heat, liquid, sm
2. Do not reinstall, discharge through the saw, open, crush, wet, cool with liquid, or place the pack in household trash.
