The shoe will not slide to the desired blade exposure, the depth lever will not clamp, depth changes during cutting, or maximum depth is clearly unavailable with a correct blade.

1. The depth moves freely, locks without slip, repeats the chosen exposure, and allows the specified normal range with the correct blade.

1. Remove the battery, loosen the depth lever, and clear exposed dry sawdust from the depth guide, lever, and shoe movement path.
2. Confirm the correct blade is centered and clamped, and inspect the shoe, guide, lever, and lower guard for bend, crack, interference, or missing hardware.
3. Move the shoe to expose about one-half tooth below the intended material and retighten the lever in the official direction before cutting.
