Symptoms

The 360-degree dust port is jammed or loose, or a compatible hose/coupler will not stay attached.
The external structure is visibly cracked, loose, crushed, melted, or missing material even if the saw still runs.
The direction lever will not reach forward, reverse, or center lock, or the selected position does not hold.
The motor can be heard, but the front output remains still in both directions with the bit removed.
The trigger returns normally and power drops, but the anvil repeatedly coasts instead of stopping promptly.
The running saw jumps, vibrates against the work, snags, or kicks backward or sideways.
THE BATTERY WILL NOT SEAT, LATCH, RELEASE, OR STAY SECURE
The blade leaves the line, flexes excessively, bends, or breaks during an otherwise controlled cut.
The trigger does not spring fully outward, or the motor/blade keeps running after the trigger is released.
The Saw Starts, Then Shuts Off Abruptly Under Load
The Saw Or Gearcase Becomes Abnormally Hot Or Smells Hot Without Smoke Or Sparks

The reservoir contains oil but the chain stays dry, the primer gives no visible result, or the bar oil path remains dry.
The saw cuts slowly, makes fine dust instead of chips, chatters in the kerf, or must be pushed hard despite judging sharpness.
The bar is bent or cracked, chain links or cutters are broken, or the guide-bar scabbard is split, missing, or will not stay on.
No-Load Blade Speed Is Low, Surges, Or Cuts In And Out Before Touching Wood
The Saw Is Completely Dead - No Worklight And No Motor Response
The Battery Is Swollen, Leaking, Cracked, Wet, Scorched, Or Abnormally Hot
