FM-07: Latched battery will not release

The pack is latched but will not slide off when the release button is pressed.

• Release button is not fully depressed
• Dust is binding the latch or rails
• Pack is side-loaded or shell is distorted
• Latch mechanism or handle rail is damaged

1. The release button frees the pack and it slides off without damage.

1. Support the tool, press the battery release squarely, and pull the pack straight back.
2. - Relieve side load by setting the tool level
3. Dry-brush accessible rail edges and the release-button gap while the switch stays at O.
4. If the pack remains trapped or is damaged, isolate the tool and use authorized service.
