FM-10: Pad speed surges at a fixed dial setting

At no load and one fixed dial position, pad speed repeatedly rises and falls.

• Loose or dirty battery contacts
• Battery protection is cycling
• Dial signal is unstable
• Controller or motor feedback fault

1. The sander holds a stable no-load speed at the selected setting.

1. Set O, remove the pack, and reseat a known-good battery after dry-cleaning contacts.
2. Choose one midrange dial setting and keep hands away from the dial.
3. Run at no load for one minute while holding the tool steadily.
4. If speed still surges, remove the pack and use authorized service.
