FM-17: Motor runs but the sanding pad does not orbit

Motor sound is present, but the pad has no visible random-orbit movement.

• Pad hub is disconnected or broken
• Eccentric or drive bearing has failed
• Pad screws or platen are damaged
• Internal motor-to-drive connection fault

1. The tool is either restored at the external pad mount or confirmed for service.

1. Set O, remove the battery, and inspect the pad mount for missing screws or a broken hub.
2. Rotate the pad by hand and note disconnection, binding, or abnormal free movement.
3. Do not open the housing or attempt to couple the internal eccentric.
4. If the pad is secured but has no powered orbit, use authorized service.
