FM-36: Main battery becomes unusually hot during light use

The battery pack heats rapidly during a brief light-use test while the tool housing remains near ordinary warmth.

• Battery cell or protection fault
• High-resistance pack contacts
• Loose latch or poor fit
• Incompatible, damaged, or aged pack

1. - The proven good pack remains at ordinary warmth during light use - the suspect pack is isolated.

1. Set O, remove the hot pack only if safe, and isolate it on a nonflammable surface.

3. Dry-clean contacts and compare one brief light-use test with a known-good cool compatible pack.
4. If the original pack heats rapidly again, stop using it and follow authorized battery disposal or replacement guidance.
