The motor can be heard, but the front output remains still in both directions with the bit removed.
The accessory catches or stops in the material and the tool reacts sharply in the hand.
The bit passed initial insertion, but backs out, falls free, or loses drive while the chuck body stays secure.
The motor runs normally, but the LED is dead, dim, or intermittent with trigger use.
The trigger returns normally and power drops, but the anvil repeatedly coasts instead of stopping promptly.
The bit rotates, but no impact pulses begin when a correct fastener provides normal resistance.
The direction lever will not reach forward, reverse, or center lock, or the selected position does not hold.
THE BATTERY WILL NOT SEAT, LATCH, RELEASE, OR STAY SECURE
WORKLIGHT COMES ON, BUT THE MOTOR WILL NOT START
The collar pulls, but the bit will not come out, or a short/broken piece is recessed in the chuck.
The direction button jams, will not hold center lock, or the tool runs in only one direction.
The quick-release collar is stuck, has limited travel, or does not spring back after it is pulled.
The trigger binds or does not spring fully OFF, or the motor keeps running after the trigger is released.
The trigger lights the work area, but the motor stays silent and the quick-release chuck does not turn.
NO WORKLIGHT OR MOTOR RESPONSE
A straight bit traces a visible circle at no load instead of rotating on a stable centerline.
A correct-looking bit will not enter fully or can be pulled out after the collar is released.
At no load the motor starts, but speed has a dead band, surges, cuts out, or ignores trigger pressure.
With the bit removed, the driver makes continuous abnormal grinding, knocking, or scraping.
A room-temperature V20 battery is fully seated in a powered approved charger, but normal charging does not begin or the pack never reaches a completed-charge indication.
